固有名詞には通常theを付けませんが、例外があります。

定冠詞THE＋形容詞　で名詞を表すことができます。
the handicapped　（障害者）
the homeless （ホームレスの人たち）
the impossible （不可能なこと）
the rich （裕福の人たち）
the young （若い人たち）
the wild （野生）
